Live animals can only be transported to countries which permit such transport on the conditions stipulated and pursued by the country. For detailed and up-to-date information regarding the conditions of live animal carriage, please check the Czech State Veterinary Administration’s website.
Please reserve live animal transport before purchasing your ticket via our Contact Centre or our sales points. Live animal transport is not provided on selected flights.
If a pet appears to be in poor health or if there is an infection threat at the country of origin, we are authorised to request the airport veterinary service’s approval of the carriage and transport crate.
Animal Transport in Aircraft Baggage Holds
Dogs and cats will be transported in aircraft hold on the following conditions:
If it is technically possible, animals of a total weight in excess of 32kg including the transport crate and other animal species than listed above will be transported as cargo consignments for a fee.

Animal Transport in Passenger Cabins
Only cats and dogs may be transported in passenger cabin on the following conditions:
An exception applies to certified assistance dogs accompanying visually impaired passengers and passengers with reduced mobility dependent on their help. Assistance dogs are transported free of charge in the passenger cabin provided they wear a harness, are on a leash and have a training certificate and all travel documents required. All other dogs, including emotional support dogs, are transported in the passenger cabin or in aircraft hold subject to general conditions of carriage and above-listed fees.
A maximum of three small transport crates with animals may be transported aboard an aircraft in the passenger cabin: Two crates per Economy Class and one per Business Class, but at a maximum one crate per passenger.
For safety reasons, passengers travelling with pets may not be seated in exit rows.
