Temporary Disruptions to Operations at Václav Havel Airport Prague and Closure of Evropská Street on 27 and 28 October 2018

October 25, 2018

Celebrations to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic will take place in Prague on the weekend of 27 and 28 October 2018. For this reason, the Evropská street will be closed for a part of the weekend and, on Sunday afternoon, for a short period of time, operations at Václav Havel Airport Prague will be temporarily disrupted.

Due to the scheduled operational disruptions, we recommend you allow enough time for your journey to the airport if your flight departs from Prague on Saturday, 27 October, or on Sunday, 28 October 2018, or if you are planning to visit Václav Havel Airport Prague this weekend.

Prague Public Transport to/from Václav Havel Airport Prague

Based on information provided by the Prague Public Transit Company, tram service will be completely disrupted, and bus service limited, on the Evropská street in both directions on Saturday, 27 October 2018, between approx. 8 p.m. and midnight and on Sunday, 28 October 2018, between approx. 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

During the public transport disruptions of operations, we recommend using metro line B to the Zličín station and taking bus No. 100 from there (or vice versa) for journeys to/from Václav Havel Airport Prague.

Prague Airport Temporary Airspace Restrictions

Due to a military parade, airspace restrictions will be applied at Prague Airport on Sunday 28 October 2018 between approx. 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. local time.
