Buying a Ticket

Did you know that we offer several ways to book and purchase a ticket?  Do you want to know what the final price of a ticket includes?  Did you know that an electronic ticket will save you time and money?

We continuously strive to provide you the best services.  We try to meet your requirements and needs, and are constantly expanding the ways in which you can purchase a ticket.  Choose the one that suits you the best:

  • Online, through our website at www.czechairlines.com
  • By telephone, through our Call Centre at 800 310 310 (toll-free line for calls within the Czech Republic) and +420 239 007 007 (for calls from other countries)
  • In person in one of the Czech Airlines sales offices

Types of tickets:

  • One way
  • Round trip

Paying for your ticket and picking it up:

You can pay for your ticket by card (VISA, Mastercard, and American Express) or in cash when you pick it up.

Picking up your ticket:

  • In person, for tickets purchased in a Czech Airlines office
  • A ticket paid for by card can be picked up at a Czech Airlines office
  • Sending by post
  • Pick-up at the airport before your flight
  • Electronic ticket – you do not have to go anywhere to get it, as you will receive your booking code and travel itinerary by e-mail or fax

Electronic ticket – e-ticket:

An e-Ticket is the newest and most advantageous way of issuing a ticket.  See for yourself:

  • Accessibility: e-tickets may be booked via the Internet or telephone, 24 hours a day
  • Speed: e-tickets are delivered immediately, by e-mail or fax
  • Savings: With an e-ticket, you will save on the fee for the issuing of a paper ticket
  • Safety: e-tickets cannot be lost or stolen
  • Practicality: Any changes can be arranged via the phone

What does the price of a ticket include?

The price of a ticket includes several components:

  • Tariff: The price of airfare
  • Airport taxes: Fees charged by airports (an airline is obliged to collect them from its passengers and credit them to the particular airport’s account)
  • Fuel and security surcharge: A compensation of the increased costs of fuel and increasing costs of insurance.
  • Service fee: The amount charged by Czech Airlines or another vendor to cover the costs related to the ticket booking; the specific fee amount depends on the manner of ticket purchase you choose. 
  • Paper ticket fee: A compensation for the added costs of insuring and handling paper tickets.
